A Change to the Sunday Pause (if you missed it)
I’ve been consistently sending a weekly newsletter for five years but lately I’ve been pulled to make a little shift. I’m entering a new season: my kids are older (my eldest just recently flew the nest); I’m entering perimenopause and I’m praying everyday. A lot of the same foundational habits are still a part of my everyday: movement, nutrition and inner work but going forward I’ll be writing more intuitively. ’
Once a week(ish), I put together a little list of things I’m working on, learning about, or being shaped by. I’ve organized what I’m sharing under three places I try to keep in conversation with each other: Body, Mind, and Spirit.
Towards Alignment is a regular newsletter for paid subscribers: a curated gathering of links, tools, and questions from the friend who reads the research but trusts her intuition, who lifts the weights but understands raising kids is a work-out too. I’m always trying to walk the middle path. Someone who trusts both peer-reviewed studies and my grandmother’s home remedies. These are the practices, books, questions, and tools carrying me toward alignment this season. I offer them as an invitation to explore. Take what’s useful. Leave the rest.
Body
My body is longing for the consistency that comes from the school year. Not only because it means I never miss a session, but because scheduling makes recovery, cardio and progressive overload all automated into my weekly routine.
